Capitalism

The cause of climate change due to the elitist 1% feeling that it is not profitable to move to clean energy. The switch to clean energy will decrease the wealth of billionaires who became such via the oil and manufacturing industries. They will ensure, through their wealth, that we do not switch to renewable energy, simply because it is not profitable for them to do so.

This is how you know money makes the world go around.

The 1% has enough money to buy anything. They buy out politicians in order to control policies that will benefit them. They buy our vote. They use their money to control anything they want to.

So what can we do?

There are many things that can be done, but it only works when we rally together. We need to talk to each other and collaborate. Voting is very important because it allows us to choose our politicians. We can take demand away from larger corporations by going on strike and not purchasing any of their goods. We can protest in front of their places of business. Speak up.  We can write letters to the companies, giving lists of demands through mass outreach. Start petitions against the companies. We can force them to stop their effect on the environment because we control the market.

We are the market.

We have the control.

They should be the ones fearing us.

There are many factors that go into climate change. All of them stem from capitalism. The main groups of global emissions are transportation, energy, agriculture and land use, industrial, power, and buildings.

Below is more information specifically about is the US military, manufacturing, and the biggest part of the problem that everything is tied to, fossil fuels.

FOSSIL FUELS

Fossil fuels are the number one reason why the climate crisis is occurring, producing massive amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This causes the forest fires.

MANUFACTURING

Manufacturing mainly contributes to air and water pollution, causing climate change and killing species.

We do not know how much the military has contributed to global pollution. Many US military bases and ships do not count their emissions in the United States total because they are located across seas.
